Vibe Plate Vibration Machines

Vibe Plate

Vibe Plates
Vibe Cage

Vibe Cage

Vibe Plates are rather unique linear machines, as they are rare linear machines without uprights that are good. The absence of the upright gives you the leeway to freely jump up and down and take forms of active different exercises on the platform, while taking active vibrations. Vibe Plates are manufactured in the USA. They have black rubber flooring tops and powder-coated vibration platforms.

The vibration intensity is apparently often lesser than other machines, and yet, these vibrations are found to be effective. The platform size varies significantly from model to model. The 4 Vibe Plate models have platform sizes of a small 24" X 24", then a larger 24" X 40", then a very large 30" X 48", and finally a gigantic 24" X 72". It is a miracle that the largest machine can even vibrate without a lag, given the mammoth platform size.

But surprisingly, it does vibrate without a lag, and produces amazing effectiveness. The vibration amplitude is only 2 mm, compared to the 4-5 mm that a typical linear vibration machine would have an the 8-10 mm that other machines would have. The frequency is 10 Htz at the lower end and 60 Htz at the higher end, which is typical to a good-quality linear vibration machine (compare with PowerVibe and HyperGravity if you want to look at other linear vibration models). And yet, as I mentioned earlier, the effectiveness of this machine is amazing.

Vibe Plates are loved by sports teams, such as college basketball teams. In such teams, Vibe Plates are the most common form of WBV machines. The largest on, with 72" (6 feet, literally) on one side, can have 2 people working on it at the same time. That reminds me, the weight capacity of this machine is an incredible 1200 lbs (again, compare with other machines and you will realize what a giant we are talking about here). I have seen people lying down on it and spreading out a yoga mat and taking full yoga. The G-force generated is also good, even if 2 people are on the board in case of the larger machine.

Vibe Cage is a model that the Vibe Plate company launched in 2014. It is one of the most sold linear WBV machines, among all that I sell. Surprisingly, 99% of users of this machine are those who have a bad back, and cannot move their body. Given that it is a linear machine, that's absolutely surprising. The nature of vibration for this machine is literally the exact opposite of some other machines like Vibra Trim VT-500. This is also the most expensive machine in the Vibe Plate family. And I think, this is also one of the best linear vibration machines that I have seen around. The rather unique structure gives it a lot of additional flexibility to use.

Vibe Plates come both in aluminum and steel. The motors are of the ame size, but are tuned as per the machine weight. The results produced are the same for aluminum and steel in my experience, which tallies with the company claims.

To top that up, these machines are made in the USA. The platforms are powder-coated. All the models have black rubber flooring tops.

You could update your default steel Vibe Plate to Aluminum by paying $200 extra (not applicable on Vibe Cage, applicable on every other Vibe Plate machine). This option is worth giving a serious consideration, in my opinion.

A machine similar to Vibe Plate in benefits+functions but completely different in look-and-feel (this machine is not sold here locally)

Let's look at the specifications of each of the Vibe Plates, and the Vibe Cage also now.

Model Dimension Capacity Speed Weight
VibePlate 2424 24" by 24" 2400 lbs 10-60 Hz 102 lbs
VibePlate 2440 24" by 40" 2500 lbs 10-60 Hz 157 lbs
VibePlate 3048 30" by 48" 2400 lbs 10-60 Hz 211 lbs
VibePlate 2472 24" by 72" 2400 lbs 10-60 Hz 250 lbs
Vibe Cage 30" by 48" by 87" 2400 lbs

Vibe Plates are really good machines. They some with a full 5-year warranty. And not only that, in my entire lifetime, I have never had a single Vibe Plate returned. The closest competitions for Vibe Plate are DKN, Power Vibe and Hypergravity. I love those machines also, but there's something really special about Vibe Plate.

To understand what's special, look at the pictures and the specifications of each of the Vibe Plate machines (given in the table).

First, the vibration range is supremely high. A linear machine vibrating at 60 Hz is almost unimaginable. The lower end of 10 Hz is also very good for a linear machine. You won't get a 3-5 Hz low-end vibration on a Vibe Plate, but that's true for any other linear machine also. People don't buy linear machines for low-frequency vibration based health maintenance. They buy linear machines for high-frequency vibration based health building, such as muscle and bone development. Vibe Plate does a wonderful job of the high end of the vibration frequency, and yet, comes down all the way to 10 Hz which is excellent for a linear machine.

Second, look at the weight capacity. Most machines (including my most favorite Turbo Sonic) will bottom out at 400-500 lbs. Vibe Plates specify a whopping 2,400 lbs. That's not a typo. It's not 240 lbs. Its 2,400 lbs. That's monster. None in my team has ever tried a Vibe Plate machine with that kind of weight. The first time I had realized that, I had checked up Wikipedia to find the weight of an elephant. Sadly, elephants are heavier. Vibe Plates are not capable of taking elephants on them. Hope you realize the sarcasm here - these machines are freaking good as far as weight capacity is concerned.

Third, the dimensions. 24 inches by 72 inches? 30 inches by 48 inches? Wow! In fact, the 24" X 72" one is big enough to lie down and do yoga, as I have mentioned earlier on this page. All these factors tilt the sale favorably towards Vibe Plate.

There are a few other pros about Vibe Plate machines. The vibration is not jarring, it is pleasantly soothing. The aluminum models of Vibe Plate, which I really think are better (and worth the extra money they demand for it), are so light that you can literally carry them around (the lowest one is 45 lbs only). Among the linear vibration machine models, the Vibe Plate machines are among the most popular ones popular for use in the residential segment.
